If you are driving north from Auckland or Whangarei, please follow the directions below:
If you are traveling north from Auckland. Turn off state highway 1 about 12 km north of Whangarei, just before Whakapara & head to the coast, Helena Bay & Oakura.
When you get to the turn off to go to Russell, you go straight ahead onto the gravel road & keep going until you get to Rawhiti.
It is 253 Rawhiti Road. The house is on the right next to a camp site & opposite the beach.
You may like to stop at the Helena Bay Cafe & Art Gallery on the way out there. It is well worth a visit & a great place to stop for a coffee. As there are no shops at Rawhiti, you will need to either pick up your groceries in Whangarei or bring them with you.
